Juvéderm lip fillers are a safe and effective way to replenish lip volume that has been lost over time. As you age, wrinkles and lines develop on your lips, folds and creases may become more visible, lips can flatten, and may begin to sag. This is due to a natural loss in volume caused by dwindling collagen and elastin production as well as exposure to a variety of environmental factors like sun damage, gravity, and smoking.
The Juvéderm family of lip fillers can correct various signs of aging in the lips, improving common problems such as:
There’s a Juvéderm lip fillers product to help you achieve your specific goals.
Juvéderm Ultra XC lip filler temporarily adds volume and plumps up thin lips—whether they have thinned over time or you suffer from naturally thin lips and simply want to make them fuller. Juvéderm Ultra XC is also approved for smoothing and correcting moderate to severe parentheses lines, such as nasolabial folds, by adding volume to facial tissue and restoring a smoother appearance to the face.
Treatments with Juvéderm XC last up to one year.
Juvéderm Volbella lip filler is designed to temporarily plump the lips and to smooth the appearance of lines around the mouth. This filler is injected directly into and around the lips using an ultra-fine needle for augmentation and for correction of perioral lines, often called “lipstick lines.”
Juvéderm Volbella lip filler treatments last up to one year.
During your consultation, we will carefully evaluate the condition of your lips and listen to your goals in order to recommend the best Juvéderm lip filler for you. Many of our patients also benefit from combining lip fillers with other minimally invasive facial treatments like Botox.
Treatments with Juvéderm lip fillers are quick and relatively painless. After a personal consultation to determine the best approach to restoring lip volume, injections with Dr. Tse typically only take minutes to perform. Sessions are also very comfortable for her patients as Juvéderm lip filler contain the local anesthetic lidocaine, which provides the most pain-free experience possible.
There’s typically little to no downtime after injections with Juvéderm lip fillers. Patients can go back to work or their daily activities immediately following treatment. Dr. Tse will provide you with any specific aftercare guidelines to ensure the best results.
You’ll notice results immediately after treatment. There’ll be an improvement in lip volume and fullness, wrinkles and fine lines will be smoother, and creases and folds will be softer and much less pronounced.
Side effects from Juvéderm injectables are minimal. The most common issues reported by patients were temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, pain, redness, swelling, firmness, lumps or bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. Although rare, unintentional injection into a blood vessel, vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, and permanent scarring may also occur with Juvéderm lip fillers. As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection as well.
